The Earphone Theory

There it is.. you got it.. one of a kind, robust sound, pricey but all worth it – the perfect earphones. The package seemingly came with a force field of an awesome “tada” march.

you thought to yourself – this has the best value for money then you justify how other brands are really just being paid for, well.. their brands.

you play your fave tunes, test it with all your types of music. you bobble with the rhythm of contentment.

you just couldn’t wait to tell the world – like an acid burp wailing to just brap out of your throat.

for days, it’s perpetually within your periphery – if it isn’t always plugged to your ears.

so mesmerized that you just want to shun any conversation that gets in the way of your euphoric experience with your new toy.

the next week, you pass by a music shop, you walk past, u gave it a second look spurring a second thought to yourself that you won’t dare replace your earphones but you simply just want to look.. from one store to the Net..

this habit goes on until your contentment fades like the coda of that song you’re listening to. from an almost inseparable to a mere “as needed” bond set in..

the options overwhelm you – your new job promotion heightens the desire of a new acquisition a little more but you couldn’t dispose of your once-perfect earphones – just yet.

your once warm buds now has dust for companion.

Suddenly, you’re on the prowl again.
